Your work computer, one click away
From home or on a trip, employees open the portal, wake their office computer and connect to it. No calling colleagues to press the power button.
Features
What the module does
Live status
On, asleep or off: visible right on the home page.
Wake and sleep
One button instead of Wake‑on‑LAN tools and favours from colleagues.
Ready RDP file
A connection file with the right address downloads in one click.
Finds your PC itself
The portal picks the computer the employee used most over the last 30 days. An administrator can pin PCs by hand.
Least privilege
The portal controls power through a dedicated service account that only has “wake” and “power off” rights.
Pilot or everyone
Turn it on for the IT team first, then for every employee.
How it works
How to reach your work PC
Open the portal
From a phone or home computer, signing in with an app code.
Press “Wake up”
In a minute the status changes to “on”.
Download the RDP file
And connect to your desktop.
Who it helps
Value for every role
Works from home
No need to leave the computer on over the weekend “just in case”.
Fewer calls
“Please turn on my computer” requests disappear.
Saves power
Computers can safely be switched off at night.
Questions
Common questions
What does My PC need?
A MeshCentral server on your network with agents on the computers, and Wake‑on‑LAN enabled. Each PC's wake readiness is checked on the power use page.
Can someone wake another person's PC?
No. Employees see only their own computers: the ones they used, or those pinned by an administrator.
Does it work without a VPN?
The portal opens from outside with code sign‑in. The RDP connection itself usually needs your company's VPN or remote desktop gateway.
